Boot camp can really enhance your running capacity. Bootcamp classes push you beyond your limits, allow you to take your body to places it has never been, and keep you coming back for more until you achieve your fitness goal.

Yes yes yes! Fantastic article, and I couldn't agree more. I share the exact same philosophy about training chest. In my opinion, I'd go even 1 step further, and say that dumbbell flyes on a flat bench are the only exercise needed to develop a big, chick, symmetrical chest from top to bottom. To whoever wrote this article, I'd love you to share my blog with your readers (www.buildchest.com) because I wrote a VERY similar article about the benefits of dumbbell flyes on there. Here is that specific article actually: http://www.buildchest.com/2011/07/dumbbell-flyes-one-of-best-chest.html

I think its also important to highlight that even though we 'assume' running to be natural, many run inefficiently and that running itself is a skill which must be taught and mastered just like any fundemental movemnt associated with sport and movement. All sports, all 'movements' must be taught, and must move beyond simply learning a skill. Fitness itself can also be a hot topic of debate.

To anonymous;
Wow, great with a comment already, seems like I struck a cord too=).
Although I think you missed the point with my post as I didn't mean to specifically compare tennis as a sport with running (or any other sport for that matter). I used a tennis serve as an example to simply highlight what I think many people don't think about, that running can be "tweaked through technique", just like you mention. I believe there's potential for most average Joe's and Jane's out there to become better runners, that's all.

Tennis and running requires extremely different skills level, your question comparing both is innapropriate. Running is a natural skill that we have and only need to be tweaked through technique, but fitness is still the biggest limiter to 99% of runners out there. While with tennis, is actually the other way around. I hope this educates you a bit.

Yoga is really helpful in calming your mind after a hard day, but in the office? I think it would be great since it is free and worthwhile for great bonding on employees and employers.
